In the last week, we have shot two video's in two different test kitchens! The first was here in Atlanta for Calphalon and the next was in Charlotte for Food Lion. Both were very similar, yet couldn't be further apart. The first was in a kitchen cooking up steak and eggs with Calphalons new non-stick cookware. The latter was all about food quality and food testing for Food Lion Brands. I even learned there's an instrument designed to test the consistency of ketchup!
Both projects were shot in high definition, the first with HDV footage and the second in HD XDCAM. Using multiple cameras on the shoots sped up the amount of time on location. I think sometimes it can be difficult for clients to picture paying for another camera rental and while in most cases it isn't necessary, other times it can be worth every cent.
The turn around time on these projects is incredibly quick as well. The first project was shot, captured, and then edited within a week, just in time to get deliver it to the replicator for over 2000 copies! The next project will be out the door in just a few days as well.
